Vacancy of Research Analyst at New Delhi.
To assist with its complex India work Program , the South Asia India Poverty Reduction and Economic Management Unit (SASPR) seeks to hire a highly motivated professional to join its team as a Research Analyst in the Bank's New Delhi Office. The position requires expertise in one or more of the following areas: Poverty / Public Finance, Public sector management and governance, macroeconomics, growth and trade. The offer is a unique opportunity to work in a wrold-class environment, on a highly stimulating work program.
Some of the prerequisites for the position would be:
- Master’s degree in economics and two or more years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in economics.
- Strong quantitative and econometric skills, including knowledge of Stata and Excel; and experience in dealing with large data sets.
- Effective written and spoken communication skills, including on economic issues facing India
- Should be a self-starter, highly motivated and adaptable
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to function effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Computer proficiency and proficiency in spreadsheet and data analysis
- Willingness to undertake frequent travel in India.
