The position of Transport Specialist in New Delhi Office in this job description is being created to: (a) support the expansion of the Bank’s transport sector lending program and knowledge sharing activities in India, and (b) support the monitoring and supervision of the Bank’s ongoing transport portfolio in India. While the position will focus on India, the Transport Specialist may also work in other countries of South Asia, and be member of the Bank-wide thematic groups in transport.

At least five years directly relevant experience in the transport sector, with demonstrated leadership in at least one sub-sector (e.g. urban transport, port, rail, highway, rural roads, etc.), and a sound understanding of transport planning and economic evaluation approaches.
