I sent a mail attaching my CV, seeking the job of General Manager in Nigerian Bank to the above mail id: roundedbankers@yahoo.co.in, but it bounced immediately with the remark that there is no such address in yahoo.co.in. Please look into this, whether the add is genuine or fake, or the mail address has been wrongly spelled.

Please arrange to post the correct mail id for sending the applications for the vacancy of General Manager in Nigerian Bank.

You mean to say - a Nigerian bank is recruiting and using free yahoo mail id?

Your site is about "Bank jobs in India". This bank is from Nigeria and they senior personnel. But how is that related to Indians?

If you say that Indians are open to apply, I will love your joke. My condolences to those who apply.

You believed this advertisement. Right?
Tell me that you already know it was a scam.

Do not encourage scam just for posting something.

I put this advt because it was advertised in Indian newspaper, so Indians can apply. Normally companies hide their identity in advt. so it is not surprising that they are using Yahoo email. Secondly, they are not asking for any money in their advt. so I don't think there is any scam. Also if they ask any money after you send your application, then be alert and do not go further.

//It was advertised in Indian news papers. So Indians can apply.//
Ok I will agree.

//Normally companies hide their identity in advertisement// .
Yes. But definitely not banks. Have you seen anywhere?

//They are not asking for money. So I dont think there is any scam//
So you never know about Nigerian 419 scams? Or you are acting ignorant? Of late, Nigerian scammers are very active in India. See news paper for confirmation.

Don't you think it defies logic that Nigerians are looking for Indians to be GM for their banks? Imagine our Private bank looking for a Nierian GM. Funny thing is we are waiting to become victims. Do not allow this post of yours to get a few leads for them.

I suggest you to remove this advertisement (or replace it with a different one) for the sake of not helping scammers if not for anything else.

Anyway, its your site and you choose what you want to do.

However, other than this post, I respect that your site is informative to the job-seekers.

I know that you are not a social worker and you are here to make money. It does not matter to me as I do the same in my website.

No, many African banks are recruiting Indians for senior vacancies, as they think that Indians are the best in the market (in the world, with the requisite experience and job knowledge) and their salary level expectations are comparatively lower and cheaper than their western counterparts of the same seniority positions. The Nigerian banks would like to hide their identity, as applications and queries will flood them directly to their websites, if they give their original name.

In fact, many African banks are giving ads in Indian media and websites, with even general and hazy idea that it is an East African or Central African or South African bank. So, I feel it is nothing unusual or suspicious about the issue.

Senior bankers cannot be fooled so easily by such ads, if they are fake. No banker, of the cadre of General Manager, if it is worth his salt, can be duped, as it is imagined.

I have been one of the persons who have been victim of this scam

They wont ask for money on the first instance.

Its only after 3-4 correspondences they ask for money after they thought they had convinced you.

I would request you to remove this ad otherwise many innocent people are going to be cheated.
